Developed in collaboration with the British Psychological Society

Welcome to the BPS Core Textbooks in Psychology series, developed in collaboration with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
For more than 120 years, the BPS have championed psychology, psychologists, and the wider psychological professions, recognising the impact that psychology has on individuals and society. This series is designed to address each of the major fields within the discipline, with a focus on themes of essential importance such as decolonising the curriculum, equality, diversity, inclusion and employability running through every book.
At this series web portal, you will find an innovative, integrated flagship textbook programme that offers a focused, progressive and flexible teaching strategy across undergraduate psychology courses. Importantly, the series web portal integrates each textbook with its own custom digital resource website to enrich the experience for students and instructors. They each host a wealth of resources such as author video introductions, flashcards, audio and video links, interactive quizzes, essay questions, companion readings and lecturer slides, plus support focused on real-world applications of knowledge.

Select any textbook to get a glimpse of what’s inside and the digital resources we offer. Registered instructors can access instructor resources for each book, and those who are not registered can get started by requesting a complimentary examination copy.
All textbooks adhere to the latest BPS accreditation standards and the Subject Benchmark Statement for Psychology.
