Wheel of Research Choices

The Wheel of Research Choices is a conceptual model to help researchers consider the choices that they face when designing and implementing a qualitative study. Researchers can use the wheel to consider how their own values and views shape their research and create their own unique set of research lenses. The wheel helps researchers consider frameworks including a paradigm, a phenomenon, a research approach, a data collection approach, and an analytic approach. The videos here include several paths that demonstrate how researchers can use the wheel, as well as a walk-through using a real-life example.  Throughout the text, the authors highlight the work of qualitative researchers from around the world, who share their expertise, guidance, and examples of qualitative research in action. Hear directly from some of the researchers here in these short videos!
